Vitaly Akimov is a Russian director and photographer based in Paris. He began his career as a photojournalist. In 2014, in Saint Petersburg, he single-handedly made and published a magazine about art people, The Strangers. A Boy, his first short movie, premiered at IDFA in 2020.
Since then, he directed documentaries, films and music videos for artists such as Kanye West, Rich The Kid, Swedish House Mafia or Kiss Facility alongside his photography work for fashion magazines and artistic figures (Eartheater, Norman Reedus). He also develops projects using artificial intelligence.
